(NB International postage has been delayed in recent years by Brexit, coronavirus, and other events outside of my control, and international orders may be subject to potentially quite high import duties, so please bear that in mind when ordering.)
These smallish general purpose kitchen knives were forged from a solid bar of high carbon steel and have a handle made from salvaged tropical hardwood, unknown species, maybe some kind of teak, about 45 years old. They are an approximate 120mm blade length but might be a few millimetres longer or shorter.
These knives combine a high degree of functionality, combined with heaps of character. Due to the natural, untreated nature of both high carbon steel and the handle material, your knife will patinate and change over time. Please see the care and guarantee section of my website before purchase.
These knives all vary very slightly, but the broad specifications are as follows, give or take a few millimetres, the distal taper can be seen in the fourth photo;
Blade length; minimum ca. 120mm
Blade height at heel; ca. 35mm
Handle length, including bolster; ca. 125mm
Balance point is at the bolster.
